I often find I can never get enough done! Especially, when it comes to my business. I don’t have enough time in my day to get through my list. The hours between school pick up and my daughter’s bedtime is dedicated to spending my time with her or taking her to dance, then dinner. After her bedtime, I often start working again, but I just don’t seem all get done!
Recently, a business coach of mine, Jane Hamill of Fashion Brain Academy, said when you think you have too much to do, or that you haven’t done enough, make a list of everything you’ve accomplished in the last year. This is a great exercise for anyone overwhelmed, stuck or feeling as if you aren’t where you want to be.
Our last year’s list includes finding our amazing team including our pattern maker, grader, cutter and sewing factory. We trademarked our name, set up our website (this is our second website in our first year, the first didn’t offer phone technical support, which is important to me.) We completed our first dress collection, set up my first Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest account and now we are working on our line sheets.
So, just when you think you still have a long way to go, look back at what you have accomplished in the last twelve months and you might just surprise yourself - I did.
