For example, if you feel that mainstream fashion and media want to turn our children into mini-adults, then Classic Girl agrees. Classic Girl wants kids to be kids. There is plenty of time later in life to be an adult. Let's not turn our children into mini-adults too early. Being creative takes courage. Going against the mainstream takes even more courage.
When my daughter was six-years-old we were in a major department store and my daughter asked if we were in the clothing sections for her sixteen-year-old cousin, when actually we were in her six-years-old section. When did it become cute to dress a little girl like a teenager or mini adult?
